Tourists impressed by Ladysmith museum

Tourists learn about the history of our town

The Shongololo Express train arrived in Ladysmith on Thursday, February 16, bringing tourists from as far afield as Canada, Sweden, Germany, Holland, France and the UK. They had an enjoyable morning tour of the battlefields, including the Ladysmith Siege Museum, Wagon Hill and the Burgher Memorial.

The tourists expressed how informative and well kept the museum is. In addition, they thought the surrounding area of Drakensberg was truly spectacular and the Burgher Memorial impressive.
