#Wacky Wednesday: Strangest racist groups to exist

Racism comes in different forms, here are five of the strangest racial hate groups that exist in the world.

Racism can be likened to a tumour, gnawing away at the backbone of society.

Through the ages, various hate groups have thrived on spewing their distorted views about people of different race groups and beliefs.

Here are five of the strangest hate groups.

1. Nation of Gods and Earths

Founded in 1964 in the Harlem Section of Manhattan, New York, by Clarence Edward Smith.

Also named Clarence 13X , Mr Smith’s movement sees black people as the original inhabitors of earth, therefore the true founders of civilisation.

Teaching members that white people were not only inferior, but weaker as well, Nation of Gods and Earths movement teaches that white people were created by a black scientist called Yakub, who lived 6,600 years ago and was responsible for creating the white race to be a race of devils. He did this through a form of selective breeding referred to as grafting, while living on the island of Patmos

2. National Socialistic Japanese Workers Party

This group is part of a disturbing movement of part militarism and neo-fascism in Japan. It incorporates imagery and ideology from the Third Reich, to attack Koreans and Chinese. It also reflects a strange fascination with Nazism and a vague anti-Semitism.

3. Gay Aryan Skinheads, Russia

Yes, you read that right. While most Skinhead organisations target homosexuals and people of different ethnic groups, this group fights for gay rights and white nationalism.

4. Esoteric Hitlerism

This is a biazzare Neo-Nazi movement that seeks to combine mythology, occult studies and mysticism.
Progenitors include Miguel Serrano, a Chilean “philosopher” and diplomat who held that Hitler was an incarnation of a Tantric deity and would have ushered in a divine era where mankind would evolve into gods.

5. Ku Klux Klan

No hate group list would be complete with the infamous KKK.

While an American group, the first Klan flourished in in the 1860s, before dying out in the 1870s.

It resurfaced in the 1950s, with members showing extreme hatred towards anyone who does not fit their profile, which is white, Christian people.

Despite believing themselves to be Christians, church denominations renounce the movement as it is dedicated to terrorism and hate.
