A doctor who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed #BabyHope is doing well despite the harsh conditions she was exposed to during the night.

“She is strong. She is definitely a fighter, and she will will make a full recovery.”

She will be kept in hospital for the next few days, until she is strong enough to be released into the custody and care of a social worker.

A case of attempted murder is being investigated by the Newcastle SAPS.

In the meantime, anyone who is willing to contribute clothing, formula, nappies and toiletries, which she will desperately need once released from the care of doctors, can be hand delivered to the Newcastle Advertiser office at 70 Paterson Street.

Alternatively, contact Newcastle Advertiser Journalist, Zianne Leibrandt on 034 312 6021 for more information.
