Man walks into police station, says he killed colleague six months ago

He explained to startled officers that he had murdered the man - said to be from the Dannhauser area - and dumped the body in an isolated area on the farm.

A man walked into the Glencoe Police Station on Saturday afternoon to admit to a murder he committed over six months ago.
The 35-year-old from the Nquthu area said he and his victim had been working together on a farm near Burnside, Glencoe, when he formulated a plan to rob the man who had come into money.
He explained to startled officers that he had murdered the man – said to be from the Dannhauser area – and dumped the body in an isolated area on the farm.
However, six months on and his conscious started to get the better of him and he ‘felt the need to come forward’.
On Monday, police officers accompanied the man to the farm near Burnside.
Bones were found in the spot where the man claimed he had dumped the body.
The remains have been sent to the SAPS Pathology Laboratory in Durban to positively identify the remains.
Police said a man has been charged and is expected to appear this week in the Glencoe Magistrate’s Court.
