SNOW IN OCTOBER: Forecast for imminent weather conditions
There's a 50 per cent chance of rain expected for Newcastle this afternoon, with clouds giving way to some sun.
Parts of the province were hit with severe weather conditions last night.
At least 400 schools were severely damaged in the storm.
The eye of the storm rocked parts of Gauteng and Mpumalanga yesterday, leaving multiple injuries and destruction in its wake.

This morning, Snow Report SA reported sightings of snowfall at Champagne Valley (Cathedral Peak) and the Lesotho area.
