Poor road conditions anger Ladysmith businessmen

Many business owners claim they have filed complaints regarding these potholes and that the municipality has turned a blind eye to the fact that the road surface needs to be fixed

Business owners in Thompson Road and Illing Road are fed up with the potholes that have taken over, saying that the condition of these roads is terrible and negatively affects business.

“We have laid complaints with the municipality about the dangers and how these potholes are ruining our businesses,” said a concerned business owner in the area.

“Where is our taxpayers’ money going? Not only do we pay our rates, our vehicles get damaged on these roads and we have to fork out for that as well!” added another Ladysmith businessman.

They are now pleading with the municipality to fix the damaged roads to avoid further problems.

The municipality has not yet commented on the matter.
