Vryheid Herald staff deck the halls at the local Spur

The food was delicious, the service outstanding and the afternoon brought us nearer to the close of another busy and news-filled year at the Herald.

THE festive season embraced the Vryheid Herald staff last Wednesday as we enjoyed our Christmas lunch at the local Spur.

Joined by former editor, John Carnegie, who will always be considered a perpetual part of the Vryheid Herald family, despite his retirement at the end of 2015, the ladies of the office got together at the Golden Peak Spur for an afternoon of festive fun and merriment outside of the usual high-pressure environment of the newsroom to enjoy each other’s company in the spirit of Christmas.

Golden Peak Spur staff went the extra mile to ensure that the ladies – and honorary gentleman – of the Herald were well taken care of, even going as far as wishing our rep, Christel Kusel, a very happy upcoming birthday for January 1 with a song and sparkle as only they can.
