Deputy President, David Mabuza, visits Vryheid in a bid to unify the ANC
Members of the ANC National Working Committee (NWC) and the national executive committee (NEC) have been deployed all over the province to try and bring peace within the party.

National Deputy President, David Mabuza, visited Vryheid yesterday as part of the ANC’s quest to find resolutions to the qualms that have divided the party in two.
According to a report by The Citizen, ANC KZN has been split in two factions since the 2015 provincial conference and the party’s leadership is hoping that the differences can be resolved so that the province can finally hold its elective conference.
One faction, the one backing Cyril Ramaphosa (they also support axed former premier, Senzo Mchunu), gathered on Monday last week calling for the postponement of the conference, claiming that they were being barred from branch meetings and registering as members in good standing.

The other faction, backing Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, says that the elective conference needs to run as soon as possible.

Today, the NWC and interim provincial structure will meet at the Coastlands Hotel in Durban to finalise if and when the provincial elective conference will be held.
