READ NOW: Female cyclist attacked on D96 – (Vulintaba Road)

The men allegedly attacked her and she fell off her bicycle. The men then robbed her of her personal belongings before fleeing the scene.

Newcastle Police are appealing to anyone to come forward with information regarding a robbery which took place on the D96 (Vulintaba Road) on May 9.

According to Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications and Liaison Officer, Captain Jabulani Ncube, it’s alleged a female cyclist was travelling along the D96 when she was accosted by two unknown men.

The men allegedly attacked her and she fell off her bicycle. The men then robbed her of her personal belongings before fleeing the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Newcastle SAPS on 034 314 6158-9.
