Shocking: Body dumped in sack and weighed down with concrete blocks in Klip River near Ladysmith

Warrant Officer Jacques Meyer from the Ladysmith Search & Rescue Unit recovered the body

A man’s body was recently found in the Klip River in Ezakheni, near Ladysmith.

The body was found in a hessian sack, with concrete blocks also in the sack to weigh the corpse down in the river.

A case of murder has been opened by Ezakheni police, as the man had sustained head injuries.

Police say the deceased was between the age of 25 and 35 years old.

Warrant Officer Jacques Meyer from the Ladysmith Search & Rescue Unit recovered the body.

Police urge anyone with information to come forward. They add that the man was wearing khaki shorts, brown shoes and a white golf shirt.

The deceased has not yet been identified and anyone with information regarding his identity can contact Constable Simelane of Ezakheni SAPS on 0825580763
