Earlier this morning (May 23), Sportscene on Scott Street was robbed.
According to a source, of Newcastle 911, the incident occurred at around 10am, when three armed suspects entered the store.

The source confirmed Newcastle SAPS was on the scene almost immediately, whereafter members from the Newcastle Crime Prevention- and K9-Unit arrived.
The store is currently closed as SAPS are investigating and taking statements from employees.
The suspects made off with cellphones and are currently at large and armed.
