Two arrested in connection with 2015 Hluhluwe farm attack on Terry Rizzato

Following a grievance placed by Human Rights organisation, AfriForum, in 2017, police were urged to uplift the docket from the archives and the 2015 murder of Terrence Rizzato was brought to light once more.

Terry Rizzato was a broiler farmer in the Hluhluwe area. He was murdered in 2015. Captain Attie Engelbrecht and his team have undertaken the task of bringing his killers to book.

JUSTICE may eventually come for brutally murdered farmer, Terrence ‘Terry’ Rizzato, who was ruthlessly gunned down by attackers on his Hluhluwe farm on the night of February 24, 2015.

Initial reports at the time of the deplorable attack in 2015 state that the 62-year-old broiler farmer was shot in the chest by a group of six attackers who stormed his home on the night in question and stole a substantial amount of cash and cellphones before fleeing in the vehicle of the deceased, according to the SAPS website.

Following a grievance placed by Human Rights organisation, AfriForum, in 2017, the police were urged to uplift the docket from the archives and the 2015 murder of Terrence Rizzato, a major food producer in his area, before criminals robbed the community of his input by murdering him in his home and assaulting his wife, was brought to light once more.

Captain Attie Engelbrecht, who has been pivotal in the capture and arrest of several other farm attack perpetrators closer to home has been tasked with the assignment of bringing the attackers to book in the Hluhluwe case, a task which he has wasted no time in tackling.

Last Friday saw two of the suspects in the Terry Rizzato murder case arrested at Ngwelezane Court near Empangeni.

The two, who are already in custody on other charges, are scheduled to appear in court on the murder charge shortly.
Fourteen people have since been linked, directly and indirectly, to the attack on the Rizzato home in February 2015 and Captain Engelbrecht and his team will work tirelessly, as they have done in other cases, to deliver justice to the victims of these heinous attacks.
