Update: Police still investigating farm attack and robbery in Elandslaagte

No one was injured in the robbery

No arrests have been made for the farm attack and robbery that took place in the Elandslaagte area on Saturday night, May 5.

A couple who stay on the farm, as workers, heard noises and went to investigate. They were confronted by five men wearing balaclavas. The men grabbed them and tied them up.

It is believed that one of the suspects stayed at the farm workers’ home and kept an eye on the couple, while the others broke into the farmer’s house.

The men used an angle grinder to cut a safe from the wall. Rifles, shotguns and revolvers were stolen.

The farm workers were not harmed during the robbery.

Once the robbers got what they wanted, they fled the scene.

Police are still investigating the case.
