Ladysmith K9 officers chase and arrest robbery suspect

The officers gave chase on foot

This morning (May 31), Ladysmith K9 officers arrested a suspect who is believed to have been involved in an incident on Sunday in which a woman was robbed of her handbag and phone.

The officers spotted the suspected robber and gave chase on foot.

The suspect ran down Alexandra Street, into Murchison Street and went into a building.

The K9 officers found the man hiding in the building and arrested him.

The other suspect involved in Sunday’s robbery is still at large.
