Man robbed of firearm at his workplace

Even going to the toilet is dangerous

Going to the toilet these days can be hazardous – so discovered a 54-year-old man who was robbed of his firearm after returning from a toilet at Stratford farm in the early hours of last Friday.

A man ordered him to ‘stand still and not to look back’ and then relieved him of his holstered weapon.

ATM scam plague continues
A 57-year-old woman was scammed out of R2 000 at the ATM at Spar after she was approached by a man who pressed the cancel button while she was still using the machine. The man fled from the shop with the money. A police investigation is continuing,
In another incident, R1300 was fraudulently withdrawn at the ATM at Pick n Pay Centre. In yet another ATM scam, R200 was fraudulently withdrawn from the ABSA Bank ATM in Victoria Street.
