Watch: Prostitution a huge problem during the day in Ladysmith

More and more people are getting fed up with the prostitution that is taking place in Ladysmith. What’s worse is that it is happening during the day as well, say residents.
Angry IFP councillor Mrs L Bhoobun says prostitutes hide on vacant land in Bombay Road; they jump over her precast wall and come into her yard to “do their business”. This also happens during the day.

Mrs Bhoobun has spoken to the municipality on numerous occasions, asking them to clean up the land in Bombay Road so that criminal activities can be avoided. Till now, there has been no assistance from the municipality.

“This is ridiculous and also very unsafe,” says Mrs Bhoobun.
