Update: Suspects to appear in court again in August for traditional healer’s murder

Police pounced on the alleged killers in the Wembezi area when they least expected it

The case regarding the murder of a traditional healer has been remanded until August 15 in the Estcourt Regional Court.

The murder was committed in a homestead in the Esqhingini area of Emmaus, Bergville.

The two suspects requested to consult with the known traditional healer, whom they had allegedly consulted in the past, and were allowed to enter the healer’s home.

Later in the day, family of the healer discovered her lifeless body.

They immediately called police and a manhunt for the suspects began. Police pounced on the alleged killers in the Wembezi area when they least expected it.

The men, both aged 31, were arrested and face murder charges.
