oSizweni SAPS Crime Prevention members recently arrested a 19-year old suspect for being in possession of Mandrax, while conducting an Intelligence Driven Operation in the oSizweni Policing Area.

According to Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications and Liaison Officer, Captain Jabulani Ncube, the members received a tip-off that a suspect was selling drugs from a house in Ximba Stand near Blaauwbosch.
“Upon arrival, members recovered ten full Mandraz tablets, three half Mandrax tablets and one quarter of a Mandrax tablet.”
The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly, and he will appear in the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court soon.
The drugs recovered were estimated to have a street value of around R1 800.
