Update: No arrests as yet after uThukela worker is shot multiple times just outside Ladysmith

The investigating officer, Constable Madondo, appeals to the community to come forward with any information that may assist in the investigation

Police say that no arrests have been made as yet after an uThukela District Municipality worker was brutally gunned down on May 14 in Roosboom.

The deceased had been employed by the municipality for the past seven years in the Water & Technical Service Department as a general worker.

Police say that a case of murder is being investigated.

It is alleged that the incident took place at around 6am on May 14. The 35-year-old was shot by two unknown suspects.

He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the face and head, and was declared dead at the scene.
