
The Nquthu road remains closed from the turn-off on the Vryheid road following this morning’s attempted cash-in-transit heist.
Traffic police are on the scene and motorists are advised to use alternative routes to Nquthu.

It was reported that an Audi, allegedly used by the gang, was recovered in the Helpmekaar area, near the power station.
Police are still on the hunt for two Toyota Corollas, used by the men, who fired at the cash-in-transit vehicle. The colour of the vehicles is not yet known.
