A gruesome sight greeted residents in Steadville earlier today (August 8) when they spotted a woman’s body floating in the Klip River.
Residents from the area quickly contacted police.
According to them, the dead woman was found face down and without any pants in knee-deep water.
The age of the deceased is believed to be around 35.

The body had already start to decompose and is believed to have been in the river for a few days.
Ladysmith K9 Search & Rescue, police, forensics and mortuary services responded to the scene.
A large crowd gathered on the banks of the river to see what was going on.
Police are investigating the incident.
