To celebrate the remarkable women of Newcastle, the owners of Essence Women’s Centre, Dr Josh Matambo and his wife Chipo, hosted a classy high tea at Tramonto Boutique Hotel last Thursday (August 9).

Dressed in their fanciest outfits, dozens of women arrived to be inspired and uplifted by a lineup of motivational talks.
Chipo explained the purpose of the day was not only celebrate the strength and contribution of women to society, but to also teach them the importance of self care and self love.
“I want to teach women that it is okay to put themselves first, because they are important, and by putting themselves first, they will feel more fulfilled in life.”
Thereafter, she gave an outstanding motivational speech which emphasised the importance of women empowerment, in industries where women were not always appreciated or regarded as equals to men.

Chipo urged women to stand up, believe in and respect themselves, and to never allow themselves to be held back from their dreams.
Between the inspirational talks and a constant environment of motivation, the guests were also treated to beauty advice and tips from experts and life guidance, accompanied by hot beverages and a delicious spread of sweet bites.
