Ladysmith home flooded with sewage

Cllr Warasally says the homeowners can’t even eat in their house due to the terrible smell

Stacey and Mervin Govender are horrified due to their yard in Poona Road being flooded with sewage for months.

According to Mervin and Stacey, they have started building at their home, yet the work has come to a standstill due to the fact that the foundation that was dug has been completely flooded by a leaking manhole.

Mervin explains that, “I have reported the issue to uThukela and they told me they have a problem with the pumps in the area.”
