Update: Hitchhiker busted with dagga in Ladysmith

Constable Nkosi discovered that the bag was full of marijuana

 The hitchhiker who was caught in possession of dagga has been charged and appeared in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court recently.

The hitchhiker was arrested for possession of dagga on the N11 on Monday, July 30.

Constable Nkosi, Pillay and Padayachee from Ladysmith SAPS were carrying out crime prevention duties on the N11 (Newcastle road) when they spotted a man hiking with a blue luggage bag.

He looked suspicious, so they stopped with the intention of searching him and his bag.

Constable Nkosi discovered that the bag was full of marijuana. 5.8kg of dagga was recovered.
