A foreign national supermarket was robbed this evening (August 27) in the Bergville CBD.
It is believed that a group of heavily-armed men stormed in and held the store owner at gunpoint.
Three people were fatally wounded and mass casualties have been reported.
Among the deceased is a 10-year-old child who was killed execution style.

The group of robbers fled the scene in a white double-cab bakkie and a VW Polo, in the direction of Johannesburg.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the store.
