Chilling footage has been making the rounds on social media platforms of heavily-armed men getting into a vehicle and speeding off while firing shots into the air.
A foreign national owned supermarket was robbed by the gunmen on Monday evening in the Bergville central business district.
It’s alleged that robbers walked in and held up the store owner at gunpoint. They made away with an undisclosed amount of cash taken from the store.

Three people were shot dead, two adults and a 10-year-old child.
A few others were also injured during the shooting including a security guard; they were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The robbers fled the scene in a white Ford Ranger bakkie and a blue VW Polo, in the direction of Johannesburg.

A high-speed chase towards Harrismith ensued involving the K9 Unit, Okhahlamba traffic officers and Ladysmith authorities.
The suspects fled. A massive manhunt is currently underway for the group of men.
Police and forensic personnel were on scene of the robbery.
