A high-density intervention operation held by police in the Ladysmith area on Thursday (September 13) resulted in arrests being made and drugs recovered.
Officers from the Amajuba and Umzinyathi Clusters joined members of the Uhukela Cluster Task Team, Ladysmith Visible Policing Unit and Ladysmith K9 Unit during the operation.
The team ‘hit’ several targets which included the lower CBD (Forbes and Alexandra Street) and a local hostel.

10 suspects aged between 26 and 43 years old were arrested for various crimes including being in possession of an illegal firearm and possession of drugs.
A 9mm pistol and a small quantity of ‘crystal meth’ (drug) were among the items that were recovered during the operation.
