It’s time to say goodbye to the winter weight as you gear up for the ultimate challenge – could you walk an eight kilometre trail with a blast of colour and without effort?

It’s time to dust off those trainers and get ready for the Newcastle Mall’s annual 8km Rainbow Run.

This year the event will take place on Monday, September 24. Yes, it’s a public holiday, so no excuses! Whether you walk for fitness or just for the fun of it, the walk is an event fit for the whole family.

What better way to kickstart your road to a healthier lifestyle than walking 8kms? If this sounds like a plan to you, make your way to the Newcastle Mall at the Edgars Court (entrance two), as registrations are now open.

This year the Mall will be having a lucky draw where you could win a MSC Cruise family holiday so get entering today.

Tickets are sold at R25 per person, there are loads of prizes to be won.

First 50 participant will receive a free T-shirt and the first 1 000 participants will get a gift bag on completion of the race.

Use the #RunTheRainbowRace when posting your pictures on social media lets get fit and have fun while doing it.

The start and end points will be at the Newcastle Mall.

First prize – R1 000 in vouchers
