A massive search for Slavko Yaksic Besoaín, a Chilean national who went missing in South Africa, has ended after his dead body was found in Ladysmith.
It is believed that Slavko (29) – who was backpacking around South Africa from Chile, mingling with the locals and getting to know SA culture – was found dead nine days ago by Ladysmith police. They, however, failed to identify the body as the missing Chilean national at the time.
He was last seen on September 24 in Dundee, where he was believed to be making his way to Underberg.
Slavko’s last contact with his family was on September 25.
