Update: Decomposed body found in shallow grave near Indoor Sports Complex not yet identified

The body that was found near the Indoor Sports Complex on Wednesday, October 17, has not been identified.

Police initially received a report of a deceased person discovered in a shallow grave.

The body was in a state of decomposition, say police.

Detectives are currently investigating a case of murder.

The investigating officer, Sergeant Mgqulunga, is appealing to the community to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation.
