A stop and search operation conducted by Ladysmith Visible Policing officers in the Steadville area on Friday (November 2) resulted in an arrest and the recovery of a firearm and ammunition.
A 24-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of an unlicensed pistol.
The pistol had three rounds of ammunition in its magazine.

The accused made an appearance in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court on Monday (November 5), facing a charge of being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
