Two brothers who allegedly attacked and assaulted a 50-year-old woman are being sought by Winterton detectives.

Zweli Shabalala (35) and Meshangu Thomas Shabalala (26) are accused of assault with intent to commit grievous bodily harm case after the alleged attack took place in Khetani, Winterton on October 10.

The woman sustained severe injuries after the assault.

“The brothers are known to frequent the Emmaus area in Bergville as well as the Ladysmith and Estcourt areas. Warrants for their arrest has been issued by court,” said police spokesperson Colonel Thembeka Mbele.
