Police have failed to make any arrests following the attempted hijacking that took place in Mimosa Road on Friday (November 2).
It is believed that an elderly business owner and his wife had just dropped off workers who live in the street.
The business owner made a U-turn and while exiting the street, five men jumped out from the side of the road and opened fire on the vehicle.

The driver managed to hit one of the hijackers with the car before crashing into a wall.

The business owner’s firearm was taken and his wife sustained a gunshot wound.
Detectives are currently following leads, but no arrests have been made as yet.
