Her studies assisted her when she was investigating a rape case that took place in the Acaciavale area of Ladysmith during 2017

Newly-graduated Constable Sanelisiwe Princess Miya of the Ladysmith Family Violence, Child Protection & Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit has secured her first life sentence.

A victim who was 14 years old at the time was lured to the house of her pastor, where she was raped. The incident affected the girl  so badly that it took her a month to finally report the incident to her mother.
