Ladysmith police hold stock theft awareness campaign

The community were encouraged to make use of the Crime Stop and 10111 numbers to report crime

Ladysmith police officers conducted a stock theft crime awareness campaign in Roosboom Phase 1 on January 3.

The acting station commander of Ladysmith SAPS initiated the campaign, since the incidence of stock theft has escalated in the area.

Colonel ZS Langa, the acting Visible Policing commander, was on hand to sensitize stock owners on issues such as branding, transportation, the importance of herdsmen, and the buying and selling of livestock.
