A couple were arrested on Saturday evening (January 12) by officers from the Uthukela Cluster Task Team while conducting a stop and search operation in the Winterton area.

The couple were stopped and upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered dagga packed into bins bags in the boot. The recovered dagga weighed 56kg, with a street value of R210,000.
The suspects, aged 39 and 42, made an appearance in the Winterton Magistrate’s Court on Monday (January 14).
They face charges of being in possession of dagga.
