Man’s body dumped on riverbank near Ladysmith after having his throat slit

A man was murdered in Ezakheni E-Section on Thursday night (February 14), going into Friday morning.

Residents saw an unknown vehicle entering the area at about midnight, heading towards the Klip River.

Then, on Friday morning, community members found a man’s body near the river.

The deceased had had his throat slit.

It is believed that the man was first murdered, and then driven by his attackers and dumped near the river.

A large crowd of curious onlookers gathered at the scene to see what was going on.

Police asked residents to identify the murder victim, but in vain. The man could not be identified and it is believed that he is from another area.

A case of murder is being investigated by police.
