The SANBS team assisted locals with donating lifesaving blood

Estcourt blood donors heeded the call for help and set off to the town hall to donate a pint of life-saving blood on Thursday.

The South African National Blood Services (SANBS) that hosted their monthly blood donor clinics assisted 66 people to donate a pint of blood, from the 77 who attended.

Nursing staff also welcomed three new locals who volunteered to become regular blood donors.

Mthobisi Khumalo is seen completing a compulsory questionnaire.

The SANBS team and the Blood Clinic Co-ordinator Mr SM Dawoonarain thank everyone who supported this worthy cause and look forward to the next blood donor clinic.

Lee-anne Matham donates a whopping 70th pint of blood to SANBS.

“I wish all our regular blood donors a fantastic month of love,” said Mr Dawoonarain cheerfully.

 

Vincent Sithole makes his 15th blood donation.

The next monthly blood donor clinic will be held on March 14 from 11am to 6pm at the Estcourt Town Hall. A blood donor clinic will be held at Estcourt High School on February 28 from 9.30am to 2pm.
