Rapist who would rape young girls in front of their mothers now behind bars in Ladysmith KZN

The accused was sentenced to life imprisonment four times over

Imagine being raped in front of your mother or your mother being raped in front of you. This actually happened in Ekuvukeni and the perpetrator is now behind bars for his heinous crimes.

A young man terrorised the Hlathi community of Ekuvukeni between 2010 and 2016. He was young and strong, but not with the mind-set of your normal scholar.

He loved to ‘operate’ during the cover of darkness and often wore a balaclava.

He preyed on young girls or young women who were vulnerable and lived with a single parent or guardian, also female. His target age group was between 14 and 30 years old.

His acts became more despicable, raping his young victims in front of their mothers and often vice versa. He would insist that those he raped wash themselves afterwards in an attempt to get rid of all the evidence.
