One of the many damaged roads in Marikana that were filled with sand some months ago.

The almost non-drivable gravel roads in Marikana, Sithembile, have enraged residents who hope that the new councilor, Cllr Mathula Nkosi, will fulfill his promise of fixing them.

The roads in the area get worse during rainy seasons.
