Sarel’s rugby boys meet the Beast
The boys also showed that success doesn't only come from hard work only, but that discipline on and off the field also helps to bring success, which they did exceptionally well.
During the holidays the 1st team rugby boys had a full programme of rugby training and tough matches on two tours to the Parys Rugby Festival and Port Natal Rugby Festival.
It wasn’t rugby only though. In Parys, they did team building activities like river rafting and in Durban, they were also busy off the field and went ice skating.
The highlight was a visit to the Shark Tank to watch the “Captains Run” of the Sharks and to mingle with the Sharks players and take photos with them afterwards. The sole purpose for the visit to the stadium was for the boys to get the feeling of the stadium (on the field and inside the change rooms) before their huge game against Pionier H/S at the stadium as a curtain raiser for the Sharks / Reds game on April 19 (Friday).
On the field, during the tours, the boys showed that hard work and determination, “Never Surrender” attitude brings success. After six tough matches and sore bodies, the boys showed that they are ready for the season against local schools.
On tour, they played the following schools with huge success: Ligbron, Sasolburg H/S, Parys H/S, Voortrekker PMB, Secunda H/S and Port Natal H/S.
The boys also showed that success doesn’t only come from hard work only, but that discipline on and off the field also helps to bring success, which they did exceptionally well.
