The man who was shot dead last night (April 24) has been identified as Nhlanhla Sithole.
It is believed he was travelling home when another vehicle stopped him and a brief conversation ensued.
Shots were then fired at the bakkie Sithole was driving. The other vehicle sped off after the shooting.
Sithole was declared dead at the scene while still in the driver’s seat of his bakkie.
Police combed the scene for evidence, but no arrests have yet been made.
Social media has been a hive of activity in the aftermath of the shooting, with people sending out condolence messages and expressing their shock at this tragedy.
