Neighbourhood Watch returns the generosity

Last Friday, the Vryheid Herald accompanied Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch chairman, André Rheder, as he popped in to the offices of some sponsors, with gifts in hand and bearing specially printed certificates of appreciation, to thank each sponsor for their loyal support.

In 2013, these members of the community joined forces to fight crime, by setting up a crime-fighting watch to ensure the safety and security of friends, family and fellow Vryheid residents.
Their free time is dedicated to patrols and observation.

Over the years, the organisation has gone from strength to strength and, with the support of local businesses and individuals who donate regularly, Vryheid Neighbourhood Watch has come to a point where it felt it necessary to give something back.
