Iris Crescent residents say they are living in fear for their lives after a house in the street was robbed last night (July 6). The family was at home when the incident took place. 

It is believed that there were four suspects and that three of them were brandishing firearms.

Ladysmith Dog (K9) Unit and SAPS officers responded to the scene, but the suspects had already fled.

Police are currently investigating the case. 

Residents in the area say they did not hear anything suspicious and were only alerted that there was trouble when they saw the flashing blue lights of the police vehicles. That’s when they came out of their homes to see what was going on.
