DUNDEE KZN: Ministers urged to take dire poverty levels in the area

Again, the Ministers thanked the ‘Good Lord for sparing us all form the recent riots and looting that took place in so many places around us’.

The local clergy have been urged to take seriously the dire levels of poverty in the area. That was the message from Brother Daniel at a Dundee Ministers’ Fraternal prayer gathering in Sibongile and at the hospital on Sunday morning.

“All Covid-19 restrictions to again gather (like the previous Sunday) but this time their focus was Sibongile. It was here where the ministers, representing various churches and language groups, said prayers for the district, our province, our nation and Government. Again, the Ministers thanked the ‘Good Lord for sparing us all form the recent riots and looting that took place in so many places around us’.

The prayers were said in the centre of Sibongile and at the clinic and schools in that area. From there, the clerical delegation moved to the Dundee Hospital to say prays outside the dedicated Covid-19 wards.

The focus of the prayers there was to intercede for the hospitals staff and especially for all Covid-19 sufferers and those bereaved as a result of the pandemic. Bishop Thulani Xaba led the proceedings initiated by Rev. Wesley Pillay and Ds. Jacobus De Bruin.
