The ‘Teach a Nation’ organisation from Cape Town has partnered with Zakhele Xulu, who is the principal of Nkwambazi Primary School.
On Monday, ‘Teach a Nation’ representatives visited the school to see where they are located, as well as take note of environmental obstacles the school is currently facing.
Last year, Xulu joined ‘Teach a Nation’ programmes to gain more knowledge about management and leadership, as well as to unlock the limitless power of potential through transformative education and collective leadership.
‘’Teach a Nation came to visit while I was a post-level 1 educator at KwaNotshelwa High School. I now hold the position of principal at Nkwambazi Primary School and they have come for the second time.’’
Xulu said he would like to encourage educators to up-skill themselves and embark on these programmes in order to contribute towards even greater success. He explained that he has introduced some educators to the programmes and some of them now play a vital role in their schools and communities.
‘Teach a Nation’ promised to help the school with resources and also share with the Khula Foundation, which is also assisting schools. Xulu promised that he will assist post-matric learners with online applications, free of charge, to uplift the community at large (certify documents and offer affidavits where necessary).
Xulu started as principal at Nkwambazi Primary School three weeks ago.
Xulu, along with educators, learners and the ‘Teach a Nation’ team planted a tree as a symbol of unity, solidarity and partnership with the school.
