Dannhauser’s crumbling road network to get an upgrade…but illegal dumping still an issue

While many housholds have been given black bags, dumping is still a problem in the town.

The latest Dannhauser War Room meeting brought welcome news for residents, with key developments shared by the Department of Transport and other stakeholders.
The town’s much-maligned road network has been earmarked for an upgrade.

Palandaba’s main road, Durnacol, including access routes to the clinic and school, will be renovated.
Pothole repairs across all major roads in Dannhauser have been prioritised.
The bridge leading to the SASSA office is also scheduled for rehabilitation.

Community clean-up
Refuse bags have been distributed to help keep the area clean and promote community pride.
“However, dumping remains a key issue that residents must take heed of and prevent,” said community representative Farzanah Dookie.

Home Affairs Outreach on May 31
The Department of Home Affairs will be at the community hall on May 31 to help matriculants with ID applications.
Residents needing proof of residence can collect it at 745 Lotus Drive, Dannhauser.
“Let’s stay informed and united as we work together to build a cleaner, safer and more efficient community!”
