Members of the Newcastle K9 Unit C Shift, the operational team, and the Newcastle Crime Fighter Task Team conducted the operation, which led to the arrest of the suspect.

During the search, police recovered 23 parcels of crystal meth, three parcels of khat, 16 parcels of rock and an undisclosed amount of cash.

“The drugs and cash were booked into police evidence, and the suspect was detained at the Newcastle SAPS holding cells,” said Ghafoor.

“Well done to all involved for the excellent teamwork,” concluded Ghafoor.
