Kick-starting a Community Policing Forum in Sasko
Councillor Elaine Rodway welcomes this initiative and fully encourage the support of all who are willing and able to be part of the CPF
The Vryheid Community Policing Forum (CPF) addressed the community of Sasko on Sunday at Eskhame Crèche to re-establish a CPF committee in the area and recruit new members.
Ward 8 Councillor Elaine Rodway said, “As members of the Ward 8 community of AbaQulusi, we need to actively participate in constructive initiatives to ensure the safety of our law-abiding citizens; those who want to see and be part of the growth and prosperity of all who reside within our community. We have a right to feel safe within our town, but we also have a responsibility to participate in keeping our town safe by reporting illegal or suspicious activities to the relevant authorities. As councillor of Ward 8, I welcome this initiative and fully encourage the support of all who are willing and able to be part of the change we wish to implement in our town. I thank Mr Myeni and his team for reaching out to the Sasko community and offering this opportunity to work towards a safer environment for all. We cannot allow crime to stand in the way of building up our community and we will not allow criminals to get comfortable in our town.”
