Showing love for nature

Phumelelani Primary School has been in the environmental programme since 2006

Phumelelani Primary School celebrated Valentine’s Day on February 15 by ‘showing love’ towards wetlands (a distinct ecosystem that is flooded or saturated by water, either permanently or seasonally).

Learners and staff wore green and blue to show that they care about the environment.

Phumelelani Primary School has been in the environmental programme since 2006. The programme ensures that environmental factors are given priority by producing learners who are environmentally conscious, have love and respect for nature (both living and non-living resources), as well as develop a sense of ownership for the environment.
